Tafisha A. Edwards is an artist, poet, and cultural critic. Her chapbooks include: In the Belly of the Mirror (Telemagenta Press, 2021) and The Bloodlet (Phantom Books, 2016), winner of the Breitling Chapbook Prize. She is the winner of a 2022 Maryland State Artist Award and a 2021 Rubys Grant from the Robert Deutsch Foundation. Her poems, essays and columns have appeared in The Volta, The Baltimore Fishbowl, The Georgia Review, Apogee Journal, Poetry Northwest, Washington Square Review and multiple others. Edwards graduated from University of Baltimore’s Creative Writing and Publishing Arts program.
